Preliminary Task- Interview

For our Preliminary task we were asked to film and edit our own interview. We got given a set of questions to ask about mobile phones and we had to go off find a person to interview, record the person along with the cutaways and edit it.

In lesson we were told to look at the codes and conventions of a documentary.I looked at aspects such as interviews, archive material, editing, mise-en-scene, graphics and camera work. This information was collected and I have presented it in a video.

School For Stars Documentary Analysis

In lesson we were told to pick and create an analysis of a documentary. I chose to do one named `School For Stars`. I watched the documentary and focussed on certain aspects featured such as the type of documentary it is, the themes involved, the narrative structure, the camera work used, the mise-en-scene featured, the sounds heard, the editing, archive footage put in and the graphics used in the doumentary. I created a video for the analysis which required me to use voice recordings and adobe premiere pro CS3.
